We have manufactured a few units of this shifter and sent them for testing. They will be available for pre-order shortly after the test results and necessary changes are made. The photo shows the version of the shifter with a steel lever (it is heavier, the handle is not replaceable, and anodizing options are not available). The final version of the shifter will receive an aluminum lever with all its advantages, as on our other pendulum shifters.
We have published this lot now in order to predict the demand for this product. We are open to questions and suggestions right now.
In this self-centering shifter model, we have focused on keeping the essence of an excellent shifter at an affordable cost. We managed to achieve this without crossing any of the mandatory YDC criteria.
Our shifter is better than the factory one thanks to the pendulum mechanism and self-centering spring. Shifts are more direct, the speeds are shifted more clearly, and most importantly - there is no backlash.
Compatible with Mitsubishi Lancer and Lancer EVO from 4th to 9th generation with 5-speed gearbox only!
You get:
bolt-on product for transmission, cables, tunnel, and interior*;
pendulum mechanism with a self-centering spring;
adjustable shifting stroke in both directions, which with basic settings is shorter than the stock one;
many painting and anodizing options to choose from;
two size options: 36 or 40cm (from the tunnel to the end of the knob. The size of the factory one is approximately 32cm);
construction on bearings (absence of backlash);
compact base design, which will allow it to be installed while preserving the interior plastic*;
lifetime warranty like all other YDC products!
Comes with everything needed for installation. Factory cables are used (not included).
If necessary, it is possible to replace the knob with your own - in the shifter of this version (aluminum lever only), it is removable (thread M12x1.75).
Installation does not require much experience or fancy tools, but it does require correct adjustment of the shifter, which is done from the interior.
*we do not deny that a small modification of the center console plastic at the point where the shifter exits may be necessary.
