YDC IS200 / IS300 / Altezza Compact Reverse is a chassis-specific hydraulic handbrake designed for Lexus IS200, Lexus IS300 and Toyota Altezza models based on the XE10 platform
The supplied chassis-specific mounting plate uses existing factory mounting points, allowing the handbrake to be installed without cutting, drilling or welding the metal transmission tunnel
This handbrake was developed for clean integration into the original interior while keeping the factory plastic trim as close to its original appearance as possible
The idea is simple: during everyday use, the handbrake remains almost completely hidden inside the center console. When needed, the removable lever can be installed in just a few moments, providing a fully functional hydraulic handbrake for drift, track or motorsport use. After driving, the lever can be removed again, making the installation much less visible inside the vehicle

No cutting, drilling or welding of the metal transmission tunnel is required
Some trimming of the factory plastic interior parts is required, but most modifications are made from the inside, allowing the visible factory appearance to be preserved as much as possible
The main visible modification is located around the ashtray area. Part of the original ashtray can be retained, or the modified area can be covered using the supplied cover plate
On LHD vehicles, the factory cigarette lighter must be removed. On RHD vehicles, it can usually be retained
The inner edge of the plastic trim near the cigarette-lighter area must be cut to provide clearance. The visible cut edge is finished using the supplied trim ring. Some additional trimming of the surrounding plastic parts may also be required during installation
The factory SRS/airbag control unit is located in the handbrake mounting area and must therefore be removed or relocated
The wiring can be extended and the control unit moved to another suitable location, such as the glove box area. If the factory SRS system must remain functional, relocation and wiring work should be carried out or verified by a qualified automotive electrical specialist
