This YDC weld-on adapter kit is designed for first-generation Toyota GT86, Toyota 86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ models equipped with OEM non-Brembo rear calipers and nominal 290×18 mm vented rear discs ⠀ The adapters provide mounting points for a second pair of OEM rear calipers, allowing the hydraulic handbrake to operate through a completely independent braking circuit ⠀ The original rear calipers remain connected to the factory service-brake circuit, while the additional calipers are connected exclusively to the hydraulic handbrake ⠀ The factory mechanical drum-type parking brake remains fully operational after installation ⠀ The ABS system also remains operational because the adapters do not replace or relocate the wheel hubs, wheel bearings, ABS sensors or tone rings ⠀ Four individual steel mounting tabs are welded to the rear knuckles using the supplied positioning jig ⠀ Two supplied 3 mm spacers establish the required mounting offset relative to the wheel-bearing mounting face during positioning ⠀ Main features ⠀

⠀ Important installation information ⠀ This is a weld-on product that changes the vehicle’s rear braking configuration ⠀ The rear hub and wheel-bearing assemblies must be removed before positioning and welding the mounting tabs ⠀ The supplied jig must be installed against the wheel-bearing mounting face using the correct 3 mm spacers ⠀ All four mounting tabs must be fully positioned and test-fitted before final welding ⠀ Installation and welding must be carried out by a qualified specialist experienced with suspension components and braking systems ⠀ The wheel bearings, ABS sensors, sensor wiring and surrounding components must be protected from welding heat and current ⠀ After welding, check caliper alignment, disc centering, pad contact area, bolt engagement and clearance to all suspension and wheel components ⠀ All unprotected steel and welded areas must receive suitable corrosion protection after installation ⠀ The complete braking system must be properly connected, bled, inspected and tested before the vehicle is operated
