For all YDC handbrakes, we recommend the 0.625 (5/8) Wilwood master cylinder by default, as it provides the best balance of lever travel, modulation and braking performance
Available versions:
Wilwood 260-15089 — without integrated reservoir Best choice for inline hydraulic handbrake systems, where the handbrake is connected into the factory rear brake line
This version can also be used for dual-caliper setups, but only with a separate remote reservoir and hose. The reservoir and hose are not included and must be purchased separately. The hose fitting is included by YDC
Wilwood 260-15096 — with integrated reservoir Best choice for dual-caliper hydraulic handbrake setups, where the handbrake works on a separate brake circuit with a second set of rear calipers. Not suitable for inline hydraulic handbrake systems

For hidden side-mounted master cylinder installation in YDC Compact handbrakes with a dual-caliper setup, you need one of the following options:
1. Wilwood master cylinder without integrated reservoir + separate remote reservoir and hose purchased locally. The hose fitting is already included by YDC
These larger sizes produce a firmer, shorter lever stroke but offer less modulation and make the handbrake less predictable than the recommended 5/8 cylinder
