IronBox BMW E36 Rear Trailing Arm Pocket Reinforcement Plate Kit

$
35.00
The IronBox reinforcement plate kit is designed to strengthen the rear trailing arm mounting pockets of the BMW E36 chassis

Age, drifting, track use, stiff suspension bushings, and repeated drivetrain and suspension loads can cause cracking or separation around the rear trailing arm bracket mounting points

The 3 mm steel plates are welded to the vehicle body around the mounting pockets to distribute these loads across a larger area and reinforce this known weak point

Main features

  • Rear trailing arm pocket reinforcement — strengthens the body around the rear trailing arm bracket mounting points
  • Helps prevent chassis cracking — distributes suspension loads across a larger section of the mounting pocket
  • Suitable for preventive reinforcement — can be installed before visible cracks or separation develop
  • Suitable for professional chassis repair — can be installed after existing cracks and damaged mounting points have been correctly repaired
  • 3 mm steel construction — provides additional rigidity around the factory threaded mounting points
  • Weld-in installation — creates a permanent structural connection with the vehicle body
  • Raw weld-ready finish — supplied without coating for correct welding and subsequent corrosion protection
  • Designed and manufactured in Ukraine by IronBox

Important installation information

The rear trailing arms and mounting brackets must be removed or moved away from the installation area

The mounting pockets must be stripped of paint, underseal, seam sealer, corrosion, and contamination before inspection

The factory threaded inserts and surrounding sheet metal must be carefully checked for cracks or separation

Existing cracks and damaged mounting points must be correctly repaired before the reinforcement plates are welded in place

The plates must not be welded directly over untreated cracks or corrosion

After welding, all repaired areas must receive suitable seam sealing, primer, paint, underbody protection, and internal cavity protection

Rear suspension geometry must be checked after reassembly and a complete wheel alignment is recommended

Installation must be carried out by a qualified welder or workshop experienced with BMW chassis reinforcement
