The IronBox reinforcement plate kit is designed to strengthen the rear trailing arm mounting pockets of the BMW E36 chassis ⠀ Age, drifting, track use, stiff suspension bushings, and repeated drivetrain and suspension loads can cause cracking or separation around the rear trailing arm bracket mounting points ⠀ The 3 mm steel plates are welded to the vehicle body around the mounting pockets to distribute these loads across a larger area and reinforce this known weak point ⠀ Main features ⠀
Rear trailing arm pocket reinforcement — strengthens the body around the rear trailing arm bracket mounting points
Helps prevent chassis cracking — distributes suspension loads across a larger section of the mounting pocket
Suitable for preventive reinforcement — can be installed before visible cracks or separation develop
Suitable for professional chassis repair — can be installed after existing cracks and damaged mounting points have been correctly repaired
3 mm steel construction — provides additional rigidity around the factory threaded mounting points
Weld-in installation — creates a permanent structural connection with the vehicle body
Raw weld-ready finish — supplied without coating for correct welding and subsequent corrosion protection
Designed and manufactured in Ukraine by IronBox

⠀ Important installation information ⠀ The rear trailing arms and mounting brackets must be removed or moved away from the installation area ⠀ The mounting pockets must be stripped of paint, underseal, seam sealer, corrosion, and contamination before inspection ⠀ The factory threaded inserts and surrounding sheet metal must be carefully checked for cracks or separation ⠀ Existing cracks and damaged mounting points must be correctly repaired before the reinforcement plates are welded in place ⠀ The plates must not be welded directly over untreated cracks or corrosion ⠀ After welding, all repaired areas must receive suitable seam sealing, primer, paint, underbody protection, and internal cavity protection ⠀ Rear suspension geometry must be checked after reassembly and a complete wheel alignment is recommended ⠀ Installation must be carried out by a qualified welder or workshop experienced with BMW chassis reinforcement
